I just wanted you all to see that our friends aren't imaginary after all and the proof is in the pics. No babies were harmed in the making of these pics, and no adults left our home without grinning from ear to ear. Good food, good times, good friends, Good God, and I mean that literally, not in the blasphemous way. :)

2020 has been quite the year for everyone.  Learning how to protect yourself and others in the best, non-political, Christ-like way has been a roller-coaster of thoughts and feelings.  If you're reading this, I hope you're doing well.  I'm going to treat this particular blog post as an update on all of us so that anyone who hasn't kept up over the years can get a glimpse of where we all are now.  I considered changing the name of the blog, but the 5 Ingrams moved to Germany before Facebook and Instagram were a thing, and creating a blog was the natural thing to do for my family to be able to hear about our traveling tales and see the most current pictures.  So, 5Ingrams it is and will always be.  Well, maybe not always.  I'm not good at infinitive definites. TDY en-route

TDY= Temporary Duty We spent the first weeks of December packing up our belongings, shipping our kids to various friends' homes for their final goodbyes, and making our rounds to say goodbye to the great friends we made while there. I won't mention them all, but they know who they are and how special they are to us. We left Montgomery, Alabama on 21 December 2007. We went to Texas to visit my (Tori) family for 2 weeks. We got to Nana and PaKenny's house on the 21st, spent my birthday there with them, then drove to LaMesa, Texas to visit my brother and his family. They just moved out West and bought a beautiful, huge house. They also have a Doberman Pincher named Askim. When people say, "What is your dog's name?" my nieces and nephew can say, "Askim!" Say it out loud and you'll understand. We had a great visit and played a lot and ate a LOT. My sister in law is a great cook. I'm not jealous. :) We got back to Mom and Dad's in

2012 in Review

2012 started out pretty awesome. We went skiing in Austria for the last time with friends that we had kept around for several years. The hardest part about making friends is leaving them when the military tells you to. This time, though, the Ingrams got leave first. Throughout our 4 1/2 years in Germany, we made some lifelong friends. We sat around the porch fire, watching the snow, watching the kids play in the beautiful back yard that backed up to a pasture and a hill, and we put puzzles together when the weather wouldn't cooperate. The men never puzzled. They burned things. Weirdos. We have never been more grateful for a duty station than we were for Germany, not because we got to go to Europe, which was pretty cool if I do say so myself; but because of the friendships and, more importantly, what God did with the 5 Ingrams. He taught us to be one unit, not 5 separate entities rooming together for a few years. He taught us to slow down and, literally, smell some flower
