Jack of all trades, Master of 1

Proud Parents with the graduate:

Many of you know Chloe as our butterfly...the one that flutters here and there, spreading joy and happiness and laughter wherever she goes.  You may also remember that from the time she could walk and talk she wanted to be a veterinarian, and she even got a job at a vet clinic from 13-16 years old before she made the tough decision to let that dream go because her allergies are just too severe.  She quickly changed gears to her second love(s), music & art, almost a simultaneous word that fully encompasses her passions.  She also, at 16, helped me open a music & art academy, becoming my right-hand-woman for 2 years of intense work.  She graduated with her Bachelor's degree in 2 years during which she studied music, art, and photography. She then moved right into her Master's Degree, graduating May 13th after 2 years of study.  She got her Bachelor's and Master's in 4 years, something it usually takes 5-6 years to accomplish and we are so proud of her work ethic and ability to hold down job(s) while maintaining her studies.  With her undergrad in music and art, she wanted to pursue another passion, worship leadership, something she also did from 16-present in various churches with youth groups and adult congregations, and so her Master's is in Worship Leadership.

You know the saying, "Jack of all trades, master of 1," and we use it tongue in cheek, but Chloe really is quite amazingly gifted in many areas.  It wasn't a matter of figuring out how to use one gift and use it well, but how to use all of her gifts, together, and to use them in a way that brings glory to God.  Along the way, she discovered that she really loves kids and teaching them.

I had a friend make a couple of shirts for her, and she just laughed.  That's Chloe...full of laughter...and I hope now that her studies are finished, she will also catch up on sleep.  :)

What can I say, except, "You're welcome!"

It's official!

The back of her head is ridiculous.  (If you don't get that reference, it's okay.  She does.  I love you, Chloe!)

Buddy wanted to congratulate her.

Yup.  TWO DEGREES!

Her stack of books is impressive, although this was last semester.  We took another one while there this weekend (I don't have it yet), and if the e-books were physical, the stack would've been as tall as Chloe.             (She's 5' 3")  Can you imagine reading a stack of books the same height as yourself in 2 years, and not "for fun" books either, for braininess?  I'm sure that's a word...

LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago.

We are so thankful for our girl!
